Battery Recycling

Lenovo has joined the Bebat consortium for collecting and recycling spent batteries.  Owners or last users of spent batteries should contact their local municipality or visit the Bebat web site at www.bebat.be to identify collection points or obtain additional recycling information.


Product Packaging Recycling

Lenovo has joined the Valipack consortium to collect and recycle end of life product packaging.  Owners or last users of this packaging should contact their local municipality or visit the Valipack web site at www.valipac.be to identify collection points or obtain additional recycling information.


WEEE User Information

Users of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) with the WEEE marking per Annex IV of the WEEE Directive must not dispose of end of life EEE as unsorted municipal waste, but use the collection framework available to them for the return, recycle, recovery of WEEE and minimize any potential effects of EEE on the environment and human health due to the presence of hazardous substances


WEEE From Private Households (Consumers)

Lenovo has joined the RECUPEL-ICT system which utilizes dealers and municipal container parks for the collection and treatment of WEEE from consumers. Consumers should contact their local municipality or visit the RECUPEL-ICT web site at http://www.recupel.be to identify collection points and obtain additional information.  Consumers can also contact RECUPEL by using the following information:

Consumers can also return WEEE free of charge to retailers on a 1:1 basis.

WEEE From Other than Private Households (Business)

For electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) put on the market after August 13, 2005 and EEE put on the market prior to August 13, 2005 that is part of a 1:1 replacement sale, Lenovo has joined the RECUPEL-ICT system which utilizes dealers and municipal container parks for the collection and treatment of WEEE from businesses with applicable product categories and quantities.  Business should contact their local municipality or visit the RECUPEL-ICT web site at http://www.recupel.be to identify collection points and obtain additional information.  Consumers can also contact RECUPEL using the following information:

Otherwise, businesses should visit the EARN web site at http://www.earn-service.com/lenovo/form_e.html and complete the submission form to arrange for collection and treatment of this qualified WEEE. 

For EEE put on the market prior to August 13, 2005 that is not part of a replacement sale, businesses should consider the following Asset Recovery Solution offering.

Asset recovery services

Small and medium-sized business customers as well as large enterprises should contact their local Lenovo Sales representative or Branch Office or send an inquiry to environment@lenovo.com to receive a competitive quote for the remarketing, recycling, and/or environmentally sound disposal of Lenovo or non-Lenovo IT products.
