About Lenovo

Lenovo Group Limited, founded twenty years ago, is today a public company traded
on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Lenovo is the leading IT enterprise
in China, making and marketing desktop computers, notebook computers,
mobile handsets, servers and peripherals. Lenovo brand PCs have
been the best seller in China for seven consecutive years and, in
1999, Lenovo became the leading PC vendor in Asia Pacific, and it
still is today.
Lenovo's history is full of firsts: technology firsts, growth firsts, management and marketing firsts. A potent symbol of Lenovo's growing strength is its participation in the Olympic Partner Program of the International Olympic Committee, the first Chinese company to become the computer technology equipment partner of the IOC. Look for them at the next Olympics, the 2006 winter games in Turin, Italy, and at the 2008 Beijing summer games.
The product road map for the next 18 months not only remains intact, as we have previously stated, but is already moving forward. In the first quarter of this year alone, we will introduce exciting innovations, such as the recently announced T43 ThinkPad, with its express card capability. More innovation will follow, the direct result of the more than 1,000 patents filed in the last four years by IBM PCD and Lenovo, with new innovations under development all the time.
And, when customers ask what the deal means to them, we tell them that it means continuity of the quality, innovation and service which they are accustomed to get from PCD. As part of Lenovo, PCD intends to maintain the same design team and quality standards for its products. The service structure and customer teams will be the same, through our long-term strategic alliance with Lenovo. |
