Beginning the 2006-07 season, the NBA is utilizing Lenovo PCs across all 29 NBA arenas to support 1,300 games played during the regular season and playoffs. In fact, Lenovo personal computers located courtside and at the Official Scorer’s Table will record more than 250,000 points, 130,000 rebounds and more than 50,000 assists by the season’s end. For those fans watching from home, Lenovo touch-screen tablet PCs will record more than 650,000 statistical events during the season in real time to NBA.com, the league’s 30 team Web sites, NBA TV and thousands of media around the world.
Using its Lenovo PC solution, the NBA has been able to utilize the industry’s best-engineered PC technology to further connect with fans around the world and enhance the NBA game on the court. In addition, the Lenovo PC solution has provided the league a streamlined and consistent computing platform to support more secure, productive and accurate operations.

As a way to demonstrate the power of teamwork, Lenovo and the NBA have also unveiled the Lenovo Stat to tip off the 2006-07 NBA season. The Lenovo Stat showcases the best-engineered combination of teammates on the court for every NBA game and is available on NBA.com and NBA TV at the end of each game.
The Lenovo Stat is a plus/minus statistic that looks at the point differential when a player, or combination of players, is in the game to see what effect they have on the team as a whole. The statistic identifies the best individual through five player combinations for each game, and over the course of an entire season.
