What are the benefits of this course?
Students will learn how to implement client security solutions based on the Embedded Security Subsystem. Students will gain practical knowledge of the hardware and software involved in each security solution. This course is part of the TVT Qualification Program.
Who should take this course?
System engineers, consultants, customers, and technical marketing representatives will benefit from this course. Students who would like to obtain TVT Qualification in Security need to take this course prior to TZI20.
What are the course, skills, or knowledge prerequisites?
(Students must meet the prerequisites in order to fully achieve the course learning objectives.)
A basic understanding of networking and enterprise security practices and methods such as Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and data cryptography is required.
Students must complete the Web-based Introduction to the ThinkVantage Technologies: Security (TXW14).
Configure the Embedded Security Subsystem and Client Security Software and add-on

Configure ESS/CSS integration with other products such as RSA, PKI, fingerprint readers, and proximity badges
|
|
Describe various forms of application and OS-level security such as PKI, MSCAPI, and UVM
|
|
Configure ESS for mass installation and global policy configuration
