ThinkPad® T60p mobile workstations offer robust graphics capacity, raw processing power and long battery life coupled with classic, award-winning ThinkPad design.
Select models provide screaming-fast performance with new Intel® chipsets and dual-core processors. And there's less worry about bumps and drops thanks to designed durability such as the ThinkPad Roll Cage, a magnesium alloy frame that absorbs shock by surrounding the critical interior parts.

 The airbag-like Active Protection System** provides unique data protection on ThinkPad T Series mobile workstations. Using an integrated, user-configurable motion sensor, it safeguards your valuable data by continuously monitoring your ThinkPad notebook and temporarily stopping the hard drive to help prevent some hard drive crashes when a fall or similar event is detected - providing up to four times greater impact protection than systems without this feature. In addition, the ThinkPad HDD Shock Absorber provides impact protection from crashes that could occur when setting the notebook on a hard surface while in use, providing 30% more protection than the system case alone.
An extensive independent software vendor testing and certification process verifies that your ThinkPad mobile workstation can run some of the most demanding, graphics-intensive workstation applications, such as CATIA® from Dassault Systemes, Unigraphics® from EDS, and SOFTIMAGE®|XSI® and SOFTIMAGE|3D from Softimage Co., a subsidiary of Avid Technology, Inc.

* Only Novell Suse Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 is supported. The ThinkPad T60p Mobile Workstation does not come preloaded with SUSE Linux. Users must obtain SUSE Linux licenses from Novell. The ThinkPad T60p comes with DOS entitlement only and ships with a blank hard disk drive. SUSE Linux OS will be supported by Novell, while Lenovo will support Hardware, ThinkVantage Technologies, and drivers.
** Not all ThinkVantage Technologies available on other ThinkPad systems are supported under SUSE Linux.
