A letter from our Chairman and our CEO
Welcome to the new Lenovo!
Lenovo is a new name in the international IT client marketplace. Our new venture -- formed by combining the Lenovo Group and the original IBM PC company -- was announced at the end of 2004 and began conducting business as one global company in May 2005.

However, we are not just a newly combined company. We are a whole new kind of international IT company.

Worldwide, customers can count on the new Lenovo for award-winning ThinkPad notebooks and ThinkCentre desktops, for ThinkVantage Technologies software tools, ThinkVision monitors and PC accessories and options globally. In China, customers can continue to rely on the new Lenovo for leading-edge Tianjiao and Fengxing consumer desktops and Yangtian and Kaitian enterprise desktops, in addition to the Think family and other Lenovo PC brands, mobile handsets, servers and peripherals.

So, then, what is different about the new Lenovo?
Separately, Lenovo and the PC Division possessed outstanding development, manufacturing, marketing and customer-care capabilities, with different areas of expertise and emphasis in the enterprise and consumer markets.

Together, as the new Lenovo, those strengths are combined into a growth-oriented, global enterprise, strategically focused on the PC space and more committed to innovation in IT clients than any other company. We have a passion for innovation that is unique in our industry.

That's the difference in the new Lenovo: the opportunity, and our ability, to take the PC customer experience to new heights. We believe that innovation, quality and customer service matter, that performance matters, and that no other PC company is as well positioned to deliver on these as Lenovo.

Where some may see the PC as a commodity with no more room for innovation, we see it just beginning to realize its potential as a tool for productivity and improvement in customers’ business and personal lives.
