Lenovo notebooks have smaller components that allow power to be transferred only to those areas of the processor that need it. Because less power is used overall, less heat is generated, and that has all sorts of positive effects. Like smaller fans for cooling and the ability to place the components closer together. The net effect: thinner and lighter notebooks.
