Can a notebook be completely waterproof?
Today, select ThinkPad notebooks can withstand spills up to 60 cc’s. Hidden beneath the keyboard on select notebooks is an innovative drainage system similar to a roof gutter. Liquid is collected and diverted away from the circuitry, draining harmlessly out the bottom through a drainage hole. But the Lenovo engineers who designed the ingenious keyboard tray and drainage system aren’t satisfied. The ideal ThinkPad would be completely submersible. However, until it's ready, don't try yours in the bath.
