I purchased four ThinkPad 570s quite a few months ago for their portability features. One of these ThinkPads was for the president of our company. He travels around 75% of his time. One day I get a call from him telling me to order another notebook because a taxi just ran over his.

I could not imagine what this notebook would look like when he brought it. I was very concerned because he had been on the road for two weeks and not had a back up of his data for three weeks. He brought the computer to me, and it was literally smashed in half. I could take the notebook and fold it in two. I thought for sure he had lost everything on his hard drive. As I started to dismantle what was left, I realized that the hard drive was still in tact. I also use one of the ThinkPad 570s, so I removed my hard drive from mine and installed his into my notebook. I turned on the power, and it booted right up as if it was his computer. The data was recovered with no issues. I even use his old battery as a backup!

I have since replaced all of my Compaq notebooks and desktops with ThinkPad notebooks. Thanks for making such a strong product that makes an IT guy's life easier!
