2007 NBA All Star Technology Summit
Friday, February 16, 2007, 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM
This February in Las Vegas, the eighth annual NBA All-Star Technology Summit will open its doors to an invitation-only group of industry executives for a series of conversations about media, technology and our increasingly digital society. As with each of the previous seven Summits, a lively and thoughtful group of industry-leading panelists will debate the challenges and opportunities that lie at the nexus of sports and digital media.
This year, as the "lean back" generation of viewers gives way to gaming and the "user generated" movement of fans as producers and participants, industry leaders will discuss the implications of these changes for sports, media and technology companies and share their vision for what to expect from the next generation of fans. We look forward to yet another challenging and stimulating day of discussions.
Deepak Advani , Senior Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer, at Lenovo is panelist on Developing Digital Revenue Models in Sports.

NBA Cares
NBA All-Star 2007 not only showcases the world’s greatest athletes but also celebrates the NBA’s tradition and commitment to social responsibility with NBA Cares events throughout Las Vegas. NBA Cares highlights the league’s grassroots and community programs that reach millions of young people and their parents, and provides important resources to community-based programs.
The NBA will unveil a brand new NBA Cares “Learn & Play” Center at Mabel Hoggard Elementary School. The project includes an extensive refurbishment of the school’s library and technology center and the donation of computers by Lenovo as well as books from Scholastic, furniture, reading materials from Encyclopedia Britannica, and the creation of indoor and outdoor places for kids to play.
